In this post, we bring you the welcome approval news for our client Lee**, who pursued the Vanuatu citizenship program.

Our client Lee** signed the contract in mid-March 2020 and completed document preparation in mid-April.
Document preparation usually takes about one to two weeks, but this client was staying overseas at the time, so issuing the required documents took a little longer and preparation stretched out somewhat.

In particular, at that time the spread of the COVID-19 virus made in-person services difficult in the country where the client was staying, so it took even longer.

From filing to Vanuatu citizenship approval took about a month and a half in total. It could have finished a little sooner, but the COVID-19 situation caused work delays on the Vanuatu side as well, so it took slightly longer. After approval, the process concluded within a week with the citizenship oath ceremony.

By the book, the applicant should meet the Vanuatu passport officer in person for the oath ceremony and receive the passport and citizenship certificate directly. Because of the COVID-19 situation, however, oath ceremonies are currently held online. Such a ceremony is conducted over Skype or Zoom video conferencing with the passport officer, the oath officiant, the agent, and the client taking part, and it took about five minutes.

Having gone through this process, our client Lee** was successfully granted Vanuatu citizenship as of June 22, 2020, and we once again offer our sincere congratulations on this approval!
